This lunch was booked because of two criteria. One very normal (for me), and one much more fun!
I’d been lucky enough to rent a Tesla Model S for the weekend and was looking for a great place to stop for Sunday lunch; I needed somewhere with a Michelin Plate and a Tesla charger 🙂
Hurley House Hotel ticked both boxes, and what a place it is. It’s really beautiful. Personally, for me they brilliantly balance the line between great food and high quality dining while keeping everything beautiful and laid back at the same time.
The food menus are focused on British produce
I started with the heritage beetroot, goats cheese and orange and hazelnut dressing.
By the time we had got there (I had booked for the end of Sunday lunch) they were out of the beef so I went for the pork roast dinner. Brilliant, with both crispy pork belly and tender pork loin.
I wasn’t going to have a dessert but by recommendation of the waiter I had the the spiced pineapple cake – which was basically a delicious piece of art. Incredible amounts of effort for a £7.50 pud
I really enjoyed Sunday lunch at Hurley House hotel. The service was great, food delicious with big portions, with great surroundings – would highly recommend to anyone.
